GDREIA History

The Greater Dayton Real Estate Investors Association or GDREIA — finds its roots in a two-day Lowry-Nickerson real estate seminar that was held in Cincinnati in 1979. In order to take advantage of their newly acquired wisdom, a group formed an organization called the Tri-State Investors (TSI), an affiliate of the Cincinnati organization.

Just a few months later, Sharon and Tony Sundrup conducted a meeting at the Cambridge Inn in Centerville with the intent to organize a Dayton group. This meeting of alumni from the Lowry-Nickerson seminar planted the seeds for the Tri-State Investors of Dayton (TSI Dayton)

Just one year later, the group was strong enough to stand on its own and the decision was made to change the name and to be totally independent – The Greater Dayton Real Estate Investors Association was born on April, 1980.
