Have Your Say at West Carrollton City Council August 23

Next stop for West Carrollton’s proposed rental housing licensing and inspection program is a public hearing. West Carrollton City Council will allow public comment on the proposal during its regular meeting August 23, 2016, beginning at 6:30 pm.

Council began its consideration of the latest version of the proposal with a question and answer session July 26. The city planning director and code enforcement officer gave a presentation and answered questions from members  of council.

This followed approval of the proposal by the city’s Board of Zoning Appeals     July 14.

The latest version of the proposal requires rental property owners to pay a $30.00 annual license fee and submit to required property inspections. Council originally considered a version of the licensing and inspection proposal last year.
